Riding in cars...

Family shoots with boys is so different to those with girls; the energy is higher, the pace is quicker and keeping them still enough to get that shot is a challenge - but I love it!  It may be an exhausting process, but its definitely a rewarding one... How gorgeous is this family?  I love how their family shoot became a couple's shoot, photo-bombed by the boys!

 

True Heroes...

This is one truly remarkable family; am so humbled by their story... already a family of five, when parents Amrei & Gerhard heard about three kids needing a house of safety, they opened their home.  Three months later, they are the proud (if a little exhausted) parents of six beautiful children!  Its incredible to see the children flourish as they learn about what love truly is... and have their lives changed by the love and goodness of God.

It was such an honour being able to take this family's photos & pray all of God's greatest blessings upon each of them

Lessons with Linda

I was so blessed by the opportunity of assisting the lovely Linda of Linda Fourie Photography at a wedding over the weekend. Wow, what an awesome experience! Nothing beats the lessons learnt in the middle of the action and I was so lucky to be able to snap a few pics of my own between perfecting my reflector holding and bag carrying skills... 

Do not despise the day of small beginnings - nor forget to appreciate the people who played a role in teaching you valuable lessons.  Thank you Linda for an incredible opportunity!

Princess Party

 I will unashamedly admit that my heart beams with happiness every time I see little girls embracing everything girly... tiaras, tutus, cake pops, frivilous amounts of pink.  I just can't help smiling!  

So you can imagine how much I loved little Ruve's 3rd birthday party last week: a real Princess Party.  I was in a pink tulle happy place! 

Welcome to the World, Baby Girl

 3 days old and only a few hours home from the hospital: here she is - Zoe Watson.  Perfection.  My heart is truly overwhelmed with love for this tiny squishy!  So little and yet so beautiful... I pray she may grow up with such an intrinsic understanding that she is adored; that she is beautiful; that God has precious plans for her...

Marali and I had such fun playing with this little doll!  And with the Easter weekend tomorrow, we couldn't resist including a few well placed speckled eggs...

 

Wedding at de Uiljenes Farm

Another beautiful wedding in the Overberg... this time at the lovely de Uiljenes Farm Venue just outside Gansbaai.  What a fun day!  And such an incredible learning opportunity assisting Linda Fourie - I am so grateful for the time spent watching her work and picking her brain about the industry... it really is the best way to grow as a photographer.
